The Library will be hosting an in-person Medicare 101 session with speaker Billie Lister, SHIIP Western Regional Manager for North Carolina Department of Insurance. It is free and open to the public. 

Medicare 101 offers participants an explanation of when and how to enroll. We will cover late enrollment penalties, IRMA, and the costs of Medicare. Lister will cover the ramifications of each Medicare option, when and if you can change that selection, and explain the pros and cons of each Medicare decision as well as how to best handle obstacles when they arise. Finally, she will discuss Medicare fraud as well as money saving programs.

It is recommended that interested community members attend in person. However, there will be a concurrent Zoom attendance option. Use the following Zoom information to attend virtually. The session will not be recorded. Virtual attendees must use the passcode to join via Zoom.
