Genealogy Society at Flat Rock
The Genealogy Society at Flat Rock will hold its next meeting on Monday, April 13 at 1:30 p.m. at Flat Rock Village Hall. Guest speaker Dr. Jeffrey Makala, Associate Director of Special Collections and University Archivist at Furman University, will present an overview of research resources available through Furman’s archives, including materials related to South Carolina Baptist history.
A noted literary and book historian specializing in 19th-century America, Dr. Makala brings extensive experience from academic libraries across the region. The program offers a valuable opportunity for anyone interested in local history and genealogical research.
