Are you ready for something different? In planning the much-needed renovations on the gallery’s bathroom we reimagined this intimate space as an auxiliary gallery—and our first show there will be “Women’s Room,” an exhibit of art by women about women (just in time for Women’s History Month!) from March 23 to April 30.

Participating artist Melanie Hopkins says, “Whether it’s secrecy during menstruation, putting on makeup or wearing restrictive clothing, we women cover what we think does not appease others, and we do that in the women’s room. We’re going to open the doors and let you see inside!”

At 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, please join us for a special program highlighting the wonderful contributions made by women in our town. We request a small monetary donation to attend this event, which we will collect for Safelight in Hendersonville, a nonprofit with a mission to support survivors of violence, sexual assault and child abuse.
