Studio 116 is pleased to present a special exhibition of works by artist David Day from May 1–30, 2026, featuring an artist talk at 6:45 PM., with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Blue Ridge Humane Society.

Based in Flat Rock, David is internationally recognized for his innovative use of intentional camera movement in the studio, creating abstract images that blend motion, emotion, and texture. This exhibition will feature approximately 100 works produced over the past five years, offering a rare, expansive look at his evolving practice.

An opening reception will be held at Studio 116 on Friday, May 1, from 6–8pm, with remarks by David and representatives from the Blue Ridge Humane Society at 6:45pm.

During the reception, David will also host a signing of his newly released book, The Emotional Residue of Dreams, his fourth publication exploring the art and technique of intentional camera movement photography.
