Studio 116 presents Above/Below: Paintings and Works on Paper by Phil Garrett

A veteran artist who studied printmaking at the San Francisco Art Institute under Kathan Brown (founder of the famed Crown Point Press), Garrett has created prints continuously over the decades since his art school days, including for eight years at Winstone Press near Winston-Salem with Catherine Kuhn. Garrett was the founder of King Snake Press (1998 – 2016) which was a source of production for his own work as well as for a variety of other artists while it was operating.  Garrett now primarily works out of his art studio at the Mills Spring Ag Center building in Polk County.
