Flat Rock Cinema will host a special early premiere of The Brink of War Thursday, Aug. 13, at 6:30 p.m. The historical drama follows President Ronald Reagan’s race to reach an agreement with Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev that could dismantle nuclear arsenals—or push the world closer to disaster. The film stars J.K. Simmons, Jeff Daniels, and Jared Harris and is rated PG. Flat Rock Cinema is located at 2700-D Greenville Highway in Flat Rock Square.
