Studio 116 presents Found Folk, an exhibition of work by Henderson County artist Mary Heald featuring paintings, hanging assemblages and whimsical, doll-like sculptures created from found and repurposed materials. A self-taught artist, Heald incorporates everything from wood, bones and handmade paper to kitchen tools, antiques and other unexpected objects into her imaginative work.
The exhibition runs September 11–26, with an opening reception Friday, September 11, from 6–8 p.m. and an artist talk at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
