Altepetl Tepeyolotzin is a contemporary Aztec dance group that performs traditional dances to preserve Indigenous culture and heritage. The group's name translates to "Precious Mother Earth" and their dances are rooted in the Nahuatl cosmovision of Mexican ancestors. They utilize natural instruments like conch shells and drums, wear traditional attire with beaded costumes and ankle rattles, and are known for their ceremonial performances that connect with nature and offer healing and community
